How does the Pet Rescuer Network work?
Microchips aren’t GPS trackers, but they do give your pet a voice when they need it most! If your pet goes missing, send off an SOS alert on our app to pet lovers and professionals in your area. When they are found and picked up, a quick scan at a vet or welfare links their microchip number straight back to you — reuniting you faster!
If your pet goes missing:
On the Identipet app, check that your contact details are correct on our database.
Identipet React Subscribers can send a missing pet SOS alert from the app. Pet Rescuers within 5km are notified, as well as your emergency contacts, with a missing pet photo.
Phone the vets and welfares in your area with a description of your pet. Uploading posts to social media and printed posters in your area may also help.
When your pet is found, it should be taken to the closest vet or welfare who will scan your pet’s microchip and you will be immediately contacted.
