
The sale and provision of the Identipet passive transponder (Microchip) and related services are subject to the supplier’s conditions, which the purchaser shall be deemed to have accepted upon implant of the microchip.
- The transponder must be implanted by a qualified person strictly in accordance with the supplier’s instructions provided with the transponder or obtainable from the supplier on request.
- The supplier’s registration form, which facilitates identification, must be completed in full by the implanter and returned to the supplier within 14 days of implant.
- An annual service fee shall be payable to the supplier for maintaining the necessary database. The amount of the service fee shall be the supplier’s advertised fee. The annual service fee for the first calendar year, is included free of charge. If, after the first year, the purchaser fails to pay the service fee on request or fails to provide the information in (2) above, the supplier will not be obliged to provide the services. Annual service fee accounts, including confirmation of client and pet details, are processed and posted mid-year.
- The supplier accepts no liability for any animal while in the custody of any veterinarian or animal shelter or for any consequential loss or failure of identification. The supplier shall not be liable or responsible to the purchaser for any damages suffered by such persons arising from any cause whatsoever including the failure to trace the failure to trace the transponder or read the information stored thereon.
- In the event of any defect or fault with the product the supplier’s sole obligation shall be to replace the product.
